Doohickamajig is operated by Luke J. Jones in Bakersfield, California, United States. This policy explains what information the site handles, why, and the choices available to you.

1. The tools

Most Doohickamajig tools work in your browser. Where a tool saves a list, preference, score, or similar setting, that data is stored locally in your browser rather than in a Doohickamajig account. Clearing browser data, using another browser or device, or using private browsing may remove or separate that saved data.

Doohickamajig does not provide user accounts or server-side storage for these browser-local tool lists and settings.

2. Contact messages

When you use the contact form, we receive the information you submit: your name, email address, message, and—when you choose to report an issue—an optional page or tool URL. We use that information to receive, investigate, and respond to your message. We do not use contact messages for marketing.

Contact messages are sent through Resend, our email-delivery provider. We keep contact messages for up to 90 days, then delete them unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to handle a security matter, dispute, legal obligation, or an ongoing conversation you asked us to continue.

3. Abuse prevention

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish people from automated submissions. Turnstile processes browser and device signals needed for that security check. It does not receive your contact-form message or other form entries through the Turnstile check.

4. Analytics and performance insights

Doohickamajig uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregated site use and site performance, including pages visited, referring pages, approximate location, device and browser information, visit timing, and page-performance measurements. Vercel states that its Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies and records aggregated data without personal identifiers that track people across websites.

We will update this policy if these analytics or performance-insight practices materially change.

5. Advertising and consent — when enabled

Doohickamajig may display advertising provided by Google. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted and where you give consent when consent is required.

Google advertising is not currently enabled on Doohickamajig. Before it is enabled, visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be shown Google's consent-management flow for applicable choices. Where Google Ads is active, you can review or change ad-personalisation settings in Google's Ads Settings: https://adssettings.google.com/.

We will update this policy before enabling advertising if the provider, consent setup, or data practices materially change.

6. Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the site and contact form: with Resend for contact-message delivery, Cloudflare for contact-form abuse prevention, Vercel for analytics and performance insights, and, if enabled, Google for advertising. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or respond to a valid legal process.

7. Your choices and requests

You can manage browser-local tool data through your browser settings. To ask about or request deletion of a contact message, email doohickamajig@pm.me from the address used to send it. We may need enough information to locate and verify the request.

8. Children

Doohickamajig is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the contact form. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at doohickamajig@pm.me and we will address the request.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when the site or its data practices change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the “Last updated” date.
